LDS Temple Weddings

Thinking through these details now will take the stress off your shoulders and help your day run smoothly. Here are some details that we need to know about before your big day so that we can capture the images as efficiently as possible. We will be requesting these details from you two weeks before your big day. Please keep your eye out for our email questionnaire.

PORTRAITS AT THE TEMPLE

We will be there to photograph you immediately as you exit the temple. Wave to everyone, smile at each other, then definitely kiss dramatically. This is your debut as husband and wife!

You will then greet your family and friends, which we will also capture.

We will then direct you to the front of the temple where we will take the following images in this order:

  1. A whole group portrait. Friends will be invited to step aside and are welcome to leave.
  2. We will photograph the family in various groupings. They will then be invited to step aside and are welcome to leave.
  3. The wedding party in various groupings. They will then be invited to step aside and are welcome to leave.
  4. The newly weds. This takes about an hour and includes several locations around the temple grounds. We are happy to take requests.

FAMILY DYNAMICS

Family's can be complicated. We get it. Please let us know if there are special considerations that we need to keep in mind. If there are divorced parents, or step parents, or relationships that are strained, we don't want to pose individuals next to each other who don't get along.

Additional Considerations:

Elderly guests who may need to be photographed early
Mobility and/or health issues of the bride & groom or special guests
Guests at the temple with special needs.

Many guests and groupings can be captured at the reception instead of on temple grounds. Please keep that in mind. The temple is a special place where families are made eternal, but it is not exceptionally hospitable for groups to gather outside and hang around on the grounds. It may be more comfortable for your guests to wait until the reception for a picture with the Bride and Groom.

Table Top

We would like to arrive at your reception early to capture all the details that you've spent months planning out. Please communicate with us your schedule so that we can arrive with plenty of time to take it all in. Please let me know if you have anything nostalgic at your reception so that I'm sure to capture it. I can't wait to take in all the special touches that you have curated for your guests to celebrate you.

Attire

LDS weddings are usually split between two events: The sealing and the reception. We typically like to photograph the details about an hour before the reception at your reception location. Here are some details that we like to capture:

  4. shoes

  5. bouquet

  7. full invitation suite

Invitation Suite

  3. Secondary Shoes

  4. Secondary Wedding Dress/Reception Dress
